Although I do not have any Red Wigglers; every worm from my yard ends up in the beds I have for my tropicals!

There is no better fertilizer(MHO) than worm poo!!!

I'm doing ok Cam...just trying to get 11 years packed up. I wanna get it done early so I can be available to take the place of my choice as soon as the warm months arrive.


I picked up more boxes and some glade candles...one's called "creamy custard and blushing apple" and the other is "fresh berries & wild raspberries". They smell up the whole room when you burn one. I enjoy them and have a "french vanilla" one also.


Tonight I'm making a nice dinner for my mom & I, but you'll have to check out the dinner thread to find out what.


So Cam, how come you don't post in other threads...being a gardener and all? You should. You do sometimes post in the "what'cha got sprouting" thread though, so that's cool.


Do you guys know what 'poutine' is? It's food and it's french. Wondered if American people have heard about it...or if the one American friend I have is just a dumbass!


Yes Drew, worms are great and having them in the garden is a sign of good healthy soil. I'm a spider lover too. They're amazing and totally beneficial to plants.

Wow Sherry sounds like you have been very busy today. Its good that you are doing it now so you dont have to worry about it later.
Its so nice that you are making dinner for your mom. I guess i just mainly go on this thread, I may check out some other threads to post on. But I guess I have just been inactive on here lol. Im just looking at online nurseries and doing some "window" shopping. Its alright to dream right LOL

Hey Guys; bought myself another banana last night off e-bay.
It is the Rajapuri.

Sounds really neet with the variegated lemon-lime and green colors.

It only gets a 7-9' pseudostem according to the seller.

Sherry;cooled off on the way home! It was like 67F at 10:30 AM !!!


We'll pay for it soon enough, when the temps get back to Feb. readings.

Yeah, I think people have the winter blahs Cam, and don't post as much in winter. Hopefully you will more in spring & summer.


My mom and I often cook for one another. Living right next door to each other is sure handy and fun. I cook one night and she cooks the next. She's an excellent cook and can bake like a pro.

Thats great! Im doing alright, thanks for asking. I had to repot my passion vine again because it out grew the pot I planted it in last month lol

Those passion vines grow REALLY fast when they get going! You will probably have to do it a few more times if you keep it potted! ~J

LOL it took it forever to finally take off. I cant wait until it gets bigger. My hardy amaryllis has this large flower stalk on it. I cant wait to see the bloom

The lady that I got it from said that the blooms are white and red, So thats what im looking for. I think the hardy amaryllis have a fragrance also. I'm not too sure. I have 3 large bulbs and 1 little one. Another one of the large ones also has a flower stalk on it. I'm going to leave them outside this year.

Thanks Sherry. I have been watering it with epsom salt so i think that helped a little. I cant wait to see the bloom. I found 2 trees that I'm going to look for, one is jacaranda and the other is candle bush. I want a yard filled with candle bush

Do you have seeds for the candle bush or is it grown from cuttings, Cam? Sounds pretty. I love candles and just started a new thread about them.


JaNan & I might be a little preoccupied in our aero-garden thread...because JaNan got a system!!! It's even nicer than mine, Cam. You gotta check it out and join our thread. You'd likely find a lot of the other threads fun and interesting too, Cam. You're more than welcome to participate, and please feel free.


So I was hovering over my aero-garden again tonight and waiting for the strawberry seeds to pop. I might log onto that cool aero-garden site shortly. I love seeing what others are growing. Their pics are too nice and the people are super friendly also.


JaNan, please join, now that you're officially an aero-gardener?
