![]() I just hope I don't kill it!
![]() Sometimes expensive nursery plants raised in their perfect environments can arrive in your not-so-perfect home and be dead a couple weeks later! ![]() I am watching it closely to make sure it likes where it is. I can tell when a plant is happy or not, even if I've never grown it. I think it will be kinda fun to goof around with cuttings and see how they do for you, Cam. JaNan too, I'd be more than willing to share some with you also. What are you guys up to tonight? I'm now thinking of sowing far more than just geranium seeds. I have a flat with 20 cells in it so this could get very scary! ![]() I have serious Spring fever today. Maybe I can find some support in JaNan's Spring fever thread... : ) |

![]() Yes I brought home some Ming aralias but they were the ones with extremely tiny leaves, very decorative. I killed them after 2 months. They just deteriorated randomly. I m sure it will do fine. I want to grow geraniums but it gets too hot here

![]() They can do well in full-shade as well, Cam. Mine hate the heat too. They make an excellent flowering winter houseplant.

![]() Morning everyone!
![]() Wasn't it you two that WANTED the snow a few pages back, eh? ![]() I've been soaking a few seeds and planting them to try and get me over this hump. Hoping I can post some pictures in the Sprouting thread soon with them. Beautiful pictures Cameron! ~JaNan

![]() Hi Janan, yes i wanted the snow, but its sleet and its like a solid layer of ice, that just wont do LOL.I almost fell on my butt a couple of times and i also found a dead mourning dove, it was sad. Plus the temps have been in the teens which is a little to cold for me. My neighbor took 30 minutes getting out of the parking lot, it was bad lol. What seeds are you soaking?

![]() Unfortunately ice and cold usually go hand and hand with snow. We are supposed to get snow here this afternoon and tonight.
![]() Oh let's see if I can remember them all. Southern Magnolia, Ensete Ventricosum, Passiflora Edulis, Dwarf Pomegranate "Nana", Variegated Dwarf Pepper "Jigsaw", and white Mimosa. How are your Texas Mountain Laurel sprouts doing? Did you see Sherry has one popping? ~J

![]() Yes thats true. i think we may see some more snow here tomorrow but only a trace. I like when its in the 70s but anything above that is too hot LOL. Oh wow sounds like you have been busy LOL. I didnt know there were white mimosas wow. I saw some mimosas at Home Depot that had red leaves. I havent seen one sprout come up yet, but I still have 40 seeds so I'll probably plant them outside in spring. Sherry showed a picture of her little willow tree, its so cute

![]() Didn't you have some laurel sprout pictures that you posted last fall? I thought I saw them in your gallery, but maybe it was Zac. I know it was one of us in Texas.
Yeah, here is a link to a white blossom. White Mimosa | Flickr - Photo Sharing! I saw some of those chocolate ones at Home Depot. I would like to get one of those too, but they wanted around $70 or $80 bucks for them here, so I passed. You know I am a tightwad when it comes to buying plants! ![]() Sounds like you need to live in a tropical environment. That's where I want to live. 80 degrees year round would be perfect for me. I lived in Hawaii when I was a kid when my Dad was stationed there. That was pretty close to perfect - It is so expensive there though. ~J

![]() Yes I had some sprouts last year, but they died =( Wow thats so beautiful! I love mimosas . Wow $70! Thats definitely too rich for my blood too. I couldnt pay a fraction of that LOL. There is nothing wrong with being a tightwad lol. Most of my plants are clearance plants and they have done great for me lol.I would love to live in a tropical rainy environment. Thats wonderful that you lived in Hawaii, I would love to live there one day, but I would be scared of the volcanoes LOL.

![]() Yeah everyplace has it's drawbacks, I guess.
Oh I forgot, a couple of papershell pecans too. I am hoping all of them sprout for me. I know if I hand green hands (more than green thumbs) like Sherry, they would! ![]() Sorry about your little laurel seedlings! Did they get to hot or what, do you know? Seedlings are so tender. I always have trouble hardening off my seedlings. That's usually when I kill them. I just can't keep EVERYTHING in the bay window forever, you know!???! ~J

![]() I love pecans, but my mom doesnt want me to grow any because of the webworms lol. I had one growing in a pot with my sedums but I pulled it, i thought it was some weedy tree but it had a little pecan at the end. A green hand, that would be so nice to have. Sherry has some beautiful plants. Next year I need to invest in some plant lights. I lost a few. The seedlings did well for a while but once spring arrived last year, the leaves started turning brown, and then the whole plant just died. I dont know what I did wrong, I kept them outside in a container and covered them with leaves during winter they did well through winter but after that they just died

![]() I replanted my passion vines and they seem to be doing well. I dont have any sticks that are tall enough for them to climb on so I dont know what I'm going to do. I have most of my plants around lamps and I have some around the only two south facing windows. I think the plants will be happy to go outside once it gets warm enough. Some are looking pretty pitiful right now LOL
