But theres clams that live for hundreds of years. So I do not know how long they live. I don't know what kind mine are either, I know theres a couple different species in there.

I actually ran out of plug ins. So I had to run an extension cord and then a surge protector (the bars with multiple plug ins on them) so I could have more plug ins.
   I just love clams for some reason. They are so cool and interesting, then they do the weirdest things.

Glad you're back from camping.  Clams...now that's cool. I thought people just eat them, not keep them as pets! I think they're so neat and I'm surprised you have them.Cool plant, Greg! I guess we are definitely going to the zoo tomorrow and we are leaving super early too so we can beat heavy Toronto traffic. Hope everyone has a great Saturday. Hi gang!
Sorry I've been so busy lately!  Hope you guys had a chance to check out my zoo shots...in the zoo thread. You will feel like you went to the zoo as well. The animals were terrific and I had a chance to take some really good quality pics. Check out this male Polar Bear...  Is it just me, or is he smiling?!  I think we're gonna go back to the zoo again on the weekend! You really need two days to see it all. I missed the Gorillas and want to return so I can take some killer shots of them. Very cool pictures! My Pachy I ordered just left Las Vegas and should get to my house in a couple days And then my bonsai pot and soil should get at my house today or tomorrow. Its in NJ and is scheduled to arrive then.

I haven't been to the zoo since elementary school, I would love to go because some times during the year they have a free day for the zoo in Dallas. I would only go during the cooler months lol

  (notice the symmetry located above....) Look what I got today    Its my bonsai pot and soil! I accidentally ordered more the twice the soil I needed though so I guess I can make another bonsai tree. I tried to pick the cutest post that would go with my Umbrella tree that's going in it.I also got stuff from two trades and the Pachypodium I ordered from Ebay (located in another thread) Today has been nice to me plant wise

I tried those kits a few times, but have never had any luck with them. I managed to get them to sprout, but then they wold just die.
Its better to find a plant that looks like a small tree and then make a bonsai from that. Junipers are a good choice I love this pot for some reason, I think it will look good with my tree

 I agree with Jordan!Find you something you like and bonsai it. Lot's of good informational "How To's" on You Tube. I'm trying to bonsai my variegated bougainvillea. It has small colorful leaves and colorful small flowers and twists and knarls really well. If it turns out looking OK I will show some pictures of it. But if it turns out ugly nobody will see it!
