Rain. Started out with light rain before sunset, now fairly heavy. Get to work on my taxes now.

Had below freezing temps last night. Some of the bananas that were beginning to unfurl their leaves have cold damage. But my Brown Turkey fig's new leaves look fine, the Kwanzen Cherry blossoms are still opening. My daffs look like they need a hot bath. And after I did some more pond maintenance in cold water, so do I.

I like those days that are nice and overcast, just after its rained, maybe still sprinkling a little.
I go and stand out amongst my trees and just watch everything, and enjoy the cleaned air...

Had a day like that just last week, lovely. The first since January.
Today: went out and everything the garden was wilted to the ground, forgot to turn on the drip system... I think I killed my peas a month early. :(

Got a light freeze here last night also. Went down to 30F in my yard, local stations reported 31F. I didnt see freeze damage on any tender new growth or flowers. It was supposed to go to 27F, glad that they were wrong and it was warmer than that! Tomorrow looks like thunderstorms and near 70F. Should be nice!

I hear dat! When I wake up in the morning and it's in the 40's (or 30's), I can almost see my banana plants shivering and saying "how do you expect us to grow if you never give us any warmth?!"

Hey, the forecast for here shows no lows below 50 for 3 days -- and after that, it's darn near 50. Maybe they'll just go and skip the stop part!

Me too. Now we just need the highs to come up. Mine was only around 60 yesterday. I noticed that Nick (in FL) had around 70 as a LOW yesterday. I'm jealous.

Forgot to walk the dog and just got reminded. It's 3:30 AM and tmeter reads 68. Been planting like crazy to finish it all in March. Three naner bunches hanging and peaches are hanging and attracting stink bugs. Lots of fun.

Hey Mike --- I live 60 miles south of you and our rain forcast is 5% chance. Such is Florida weather!

BTW --- do your fruit trees, like peaches, attract stink bugs? This is the first time I've had these pests.

Very pleasant today, supposed to have strong winds and more rain tomorrow. Wish we had some of that in January.
