It would seem that the Bristol Botanical gardens have the same looking plants as the oxford one. This mat of Bananas had loads of tiny plants that had germinated underneath them. I managed to borrow...

Mine did the same when first planted out. I thought it was too much sun on the leaves as they had not been acclimatised from the poly.
They soon perk up.

Tony , I chickened out as It hasnt got any pups on it as a back up should the frosts kill it.

It's hit and miss as to what type comes up
. Could be Violacea or Saggitifolia
