Default In Memoriam: Tog Tan
Tog Tan, known to many members of the IBS as an indespensable font of banana and tropical knowledge, passed away on 16 June 2009 of a heart attack, while driving home with a new load of bananas and other plants. He died doing what he loved.

He is survived by his daughter Stefanie and all of his friends here at the International Banana Society. We will all rembember him for his great sense of humour, his patience, his amazing breadth of knowledge, and his willingness to help anybody with a question.

Tog, you will be sorely missed.

Man, what a blow. And we only knew him through our time with him here at the org. I must say that I always enjoyed the back and forth with Tog because he could dish it out and he could take it just as well. We'll definitely miss you, buddy! Thanks for brightening our lives, if only for a while.

I was just informed of this sad event. Although I never had the opportunity to meet Tog in person, I felt like I knew him pretty well through his wonderful insights and witty responses to all of our posts. What a wonderful human being Tog was and will always be in each of our hearts. Tog will be sorely missed but we MUST remember how much he helped inspire us and uplifted us through his comments. God bless his family and give them, as well as us, comfort in this sad time...

He made a big diffrence on this website and I am sure he made a big diffrence in the lives of everyone he met. He was always there if there was a question that he could answer and I won't forget any of the jokes that he told. At such a young age he made a big diffrence and he will not be forgotten.
