Planted a canna Intrigue and a green leaf canna without a name from a plant swap. Still trying to figure out where to put the other plants we came home with. I always end up with more than I brought, which was a Tetrapanax Steroidal Giant and a Hedychium Ginger-Mioga.

I can play into this game today! Pretty excited, I planted a windmill palm, which aside from my bananas, is just about as exotic as you can go in this climate. Have had a spot reserved for two years now, and it looks great. Also finished planting some cosmos and dahlias, which were my late mother's favorite flower. So all-round, a pretty satisfying day!![]() Just noticed the many comments on growing tomatoes on site, which ties into what I planted yesterday, .....a couple of tomatillo plants to augment my tomatoes...mmmm, fresh salsa!

Abnshrek, two questions, what is an Hydrainia, and do you get dizzy cutting around all those plantings on your "plantation"? That's quite a large canvas to practice your art! I'm assuming something different than a hydrangea? Thx

Its a flowering bush, that comes back every spring ( have the dwarfs). Unlike a hybiscus unless you dig them up. :^) No, I don't get dizzy, but it's quite fun weed whacking in my power-chair. My neighbors must think I'm a stubborn sob :^)

Repotted a dwarf giant papyrus for the pond. Planting some persicaria as a groundcover; had to figure out where to safely put it as it's a tad aggressive! Planted a nice variegated NG impatiens for Mom in a hanging basket.

Late getting on the 'box' today, but managed to hang and plant a new planter with summer annuals to replace one that fell off due to the weight of rain over the winter. Looks like it's always been there! Tomorrow's planting plans include some canna and a kiwi vine. Always room somewhere for one more exotic plant!

Oh no! Migael finally ran out of room, he's now planting in the neighbor's yard! Bless you for the caring! I planted a ficus Japonica in my shade garden.

Oops, brain fart (much noise, not much substance),....I should have said Fatsia Japonica, not Ficus Japonica. Ficus, ...ficus?
