Here's a good site with info.

I repotted my 6 foot tall plumeria. It was in a clay pot so it was really hard to get out without destroying it, but fortunately its okay!!!

It is a very interesting picture you posted here. Does it matther which end of the avocado seed is pointing up? How ofthen do I need to change the water if I try it your way?

Member SoBe Musa also posted a picture of his or her avocado seedlings growing in a water container (a few replies back in this thread). I thought SoBe Musa meant the avocado seeds were completely submerged under the water to start with. After seeing your picture, maybe this is how he or she started except without the toothpicks.

I had success growing avocado seedlings twice before. They were placed next to the kichen sink window, in soil, I believe. I started both times in the fall. They did fine until the winter time. I'd like to try again sometime in the future.

I potted this the other day.

Photobucket

A friend gave me this new type of Adenium obesum. It's a double flower and a color that I have never seen in a Adeniums. When you give enough you tend to get a lot of nice plants back.

Long time no post.....I've been crazy busy and have not been online much lately.

Over the last couple days, I have planted peas, bush beans, watermelon, cantaloupe, 800 tomatoes (stupice, matina, brandywine otv, amish paste, mule train, howard german, wilford, ...), 200 peppers (anaheim, sweet banana, bells..green, red, yellow), and a few tomatillos. Also, 70 rootstocks for apple, apricot, peach, and plum. I have to get the apples grafted soon.

By weeks end, I need to get the corn, squash and others in the ground.

Hope to be around a lot more, once again...

Now I know that this will seem mundane to most people, but I am beside myself with excitement! I am ready to pot on my lavender seedlings, and - wait for it........ 5 geranium seedlings! They don't grow here because of the high humidity, in fact I only know of one other plant - a dull pink. These are the traditional geranium flaming red colour and I have been putting off repotting them for days because I am almost too scared to disturb them! But being British I will stiffen my upper lip and go for it! Wish me luck chaps!
