That's right, one of my Reds waved the flag leaf today!!! Wooo hoo!

Great! I've heard nice things about the fruit, so keep us posted.

Unfortunately, I've also been told that this variety is pretty cold-sensitive and does not store well under the house at all. The corm will survive, but the pseudostem just dessicates and/or rots away. That didn't keep me from growing one though!!

Those are stunning pics! Look forward to seeing the progress on the Red. I like your bamboo cane supporting the flower stalk on the Apple - gonna have to copy it.

I'll have to make a tutorial on how I made those. They get lots of comments from people who see them, even non plant people! They are relatively pricey though at about $20.00 each. My wife wouldn't let me use pvc or 2/4's so I had to make something ascetically pleasing. :06:
