I absolutely agree with you, Drew.

I saw the tomatoes pictures Sherry had been posting, read her postings in another thread, Tomatoes, and I said to myself: I have to take care of my tomato plants very differently next time.

Thanks Rae & Drew!

I am glad you've learned from me Rae, and I bet next time your tomatoes will be wonderful.

The worst and most challenging problem with growing edibles indoors, is keeping pests away, that would otherwise be kept in check by beneficial insects outdoors.

If you're consistent though and you shower your indoor tomato plant regularily, you'll never see a bug on the plant.

Smile Re: The Hollyberry Lady's Plants and Flowers

Sherry,

Good thing that tomato plants don't cry when you give them baths like new born babies do - I still remember those good old days.

I will reply to some other threads of yours and your last pm at a different time.

Thank you again!!!

Hiya Re: The Hollyberry Lady's Plants and Flowers

Thanks for the post Rae...always love yours.

Here's my sole female "Blue Princess" Hollyberry hybrid shrub this afternoon in full south sun..

Here's my mystery banana plant given to me as a gift from ShearMe in Texas (Zac). I just dug it up and out of my garden last night and brought it inside with a pup attached to the mother...

This shot shows how the new leaf is already beginning to push up and out. You can see my "Patio" Tomato plant as well in the corner of my south and east windows, so it's nearly constantly saturated in sunshine!

Here's a shot I took today of the trees just steps aways from my place. It's always a joy to watch these three beauties turn color each year...

If you look through my living room window in the 2nd shot you can see the trees from the last shot. It's the view from my living room window and it's so pretty as you can see...

Very nice Sherry! you may get 3-4 leaves on the larger banana this winter if it gets that much sun. Those look like Acer Rubrums. they truly are beautiful trees!

Thanks Drew, because I really didn't know what kind of trees they were but wanted to.

What if I put the banana plant under my 400 watt metal halide? Never grew a banana plant under it before so I might experiment.

Today though, the plant was saturated in natural sunlight for many hours.
