Planted 2 pups from the 1000 fingers which is getting huge and promisingly fat at the bottom (hope! hope!). Took another 9 pups off it - one of which is destined for Mark.

I separated 2 pups from my overwintered Basjoo clump. Transplanted them elsewhere in the yard, including one in front of the house. My concern is the deer....we'll see.

I was only 5 minutes away so I stopped by Shawn's and got two more California Cold Hardy pups and just potted them up a half hour ago. His biggest plant from last year is about 13' tall and bloomed this spring but doesn't have any leaves. Bad timing!

I always say my best plants have come from members. Check out this Goldfinger I got from tophersmith for the astronomic fee of $15. Think you'd get a plant not to mention the well developed root system this big from mail order? THANKS CHRIS!!!!

Damn it. I'm really tan since vacation and it's just not showing in this picture...foiled again.

This is my prized Musa Banksii from bigdog. Try and find this one at Home depot.

THANKS FRANK:

Harvey , Please keep me in mind if a CCH becomes available in the future.

Hey, Bob, I'll try to remember. Last year I bought 5 of these pups and gave away the 2 largest to a local club which raised $165 auctioning those 2 plants off. I had the 2 weakest ones die on me (one's not quite dead and I was hoping it would recover, but it looks unlikely) and I have one growing well. I bought the 2 yesterday thinking I might get them established for the same club auction in early August. If I decide to do something else, I'll try to remember you're interested.

Shaw is planning on moving pretty soon but will be taking plenty of banana plants with him.

BTW, I think your tan looks cool! :P I've got a dark tan going on my head and arms but the rest of me could scare folks if I showed them!

Best wishes,

Harvey
