Re: What did you plant today (bananas)?
One LOOOOOONG winter here too. Can't wait to clean the yards & get my hands dirty!
More snow this weekend...boo hoo Any minute, the mailman will bring my Misi Luki nanna pup that I won from Mitchel. I have a pot & good pot mix ready. Yesterday, I got some some Cardoon seedlings from Bob that are in their own little pots on south facing sill. YAHOO, I feel so TROPICAL!! (I still wanna go to Fllorida, or Hawaii, or any damn place that's sunny & warm)

Re: What did you plant today (bananas)?
Yes it was a long winter, we had a freeze in January and one in February. Normally we get one Freeze every two years.
But even with this considered I do not regret moving to this warmer climate. I can plant my Kru in the ground when others are talking about stepping plants up into bigger indoor or green house held containers. Good growing! :-) |

Re: What did you plant today (bananas)?
This morning I planted a Glui Kai. The problem is, now I have space under current plan to plant only 1 more banana mat. I'm going to have to rethink, this plan, because I don't like to waste gasoline mowing the lawn and I want to plant more bananas! Mulching uses a lot less energy, Gasoline and work(Force times distance).
