And it's here. The Great European Depression that (literally) stormed a good part of Western Europe yesterday is at our door step. This is a picture of what is going to happen in 12 hours.

Cool! Might get a few drops of rain down here as well! Which we could need and my in-ground Rajapuri would also love.

But I talked with my mother in Munich, Germany and she said, that'll be bad today and I hope you all will stay safe.
There were heavy thunder storms last night in southern Germany with hail up to tennis ball size "ice bullets"...

Take care!

It seems like Rome and Southern Italy must be accounted for Africa instead of Europe...

The forecast shows no rain at all..... my rain-water collector ran dry two weeks ago and I must use expensive potable water to feed my plants.....

Yep, but I guess it won't be that bad. Benelux, Germany and France got the worst of it, we might nit see any hail, only thunderstorms. Warm and pleasant. Windy though.

At 4am I watched a big storm just a few clicks from here to the south. It brought 70kph winds. But just for a few moments.

That means our current 34°C - 10°C and tomorrow and the days after we will be somewhere at 23°C. +/- some degrees.

It's a depression in Europe alright.

Moscovites (People living in Moscow) have been going thru almost African weather these past weeks. Almost 40°C, no rain, no breeze...

Re: Weather forecast

Here in Rome, we got a drop of temperatures from 38, to 28 degrees celsius and a lot less hydration , from 88 to 40, 50% .
We had a moderate to strong NW wind that dried the air letting us stop sweating 24/7.
I didn't see a single drop of rai or a cloud in the sky in the last 40-50 days.

It seems like we got the best part of the cold air stream crossing Europe avoiding the worst effects....

Same here in Greece, but we had some thunderstorms last night, that brought some rain. But temps dropped to "don't need air condition" level, below 30 deg C during the day and less humidity.

Hi, I'm back finally.
These floods were in Germany/Czech republic/Poland region, so no problem in the former agricultural Austro-Hungarian area.
But there was a lot of damage.

This has been a terrible year for Poland so far.

How are things in Roma, Italia?

two weeks of 28-30° with normal hidration and low winds... almost perfect....

Only yesterday we had some strong winds but coming form south east it was warm and humid....

Central italy and in particular, Rome's surroundings it is an exception, because northern Italy is being stormed by bad weather , wind and a lot, lot of rain..
It seems like talking about two different countries.

Ancient romans were very careful and wise (and lucky) about the place to settle down and build a city... LOL

You mean Romulus and Remus chose wisely? :) They didn't have much of a choice, I remember it was a marshland back then. :ha:

But back to reality. Yes, I too watch northern Italy on daily basis (mainly the region Genoa-Torino-Milan, it's a point of interest to me ;) ) and I was surprised not to see the daily temps go above 23°C in quite a while. And now consider, that Genoa is a humid mediterranean climate - that's something.
Wonderful land you have. I mean Italians, not you personally, in general. ;)

Yup, it's really messy. And there are lots of infections and ilnesses in such areas. Anthrax appeared in the eastern Slovakia 2 weeks after the last floods there. Fortunatelly only several cows died and it was contained.

Oh, well.... it may have been a marshland 2000 years ago, but.... no earthquakes, no flooding, no snow, no extreme weather and a good sea breeze.... who can ask for more ??? LOL:ha:
