And more rain. So fare we had 112 l/m2 this month and 41 l of that has fallen in last 24 hrs. More rain to come.

I have had freezing rain yesterday and now everything is covered by ice.
Temperature is about -5C during the daytime and -10C at night.

Two hard freezes overnight saturday night and sunday night. They seem to have hit my in-ground bananas hard, despite me covering them up well. A few other plants were hit too, but the chocolate mint seems to have shrugged it off, despite the cover blowing half off one pot.

today after a whole month and a half the sun showed up. Not that the temperatures have gone up drastically butit is enough to cheer one up and even a couple of degrees above the freeying point does make a significant difference.

I've got all my mints inside, 3 potted bananas inside and all the other 7 bananas shivering outside under towels and blankets probably cursing me in tiny banana voices. I gave Frank a pep talk as he's got two pups/shoots coming up beside him. Only one felt soft on the stalk BEFORE these freezing temps, so I'm hopeful they'll make it back.

Supposed to be freezing last night(extended for hours) and tonight. I wish I had seen the trick with the Xmas lights, I would have bought up a bunch after Xmas here. Now I know... and knowing is half the battle!

Heavy snowfall and the cold front approached europe and will be coming to us tmrw. Darn the few hours of sunlight will be stolen:(

Couple days ago I thought, it would be Spring finally.
But since yesterday we have like a snow 'avalanche' here in south-east Poland.

The snow is falling non-stop and terrible wind...

No snow here but pretty cold and with wind storms. Cold will stay till Sunday and might have some freeze tonight and tomorrow morning.

I seems to be one of the longest winter, and one of the darkest. In Lublin -the capitol city of my vivodeship were 66 days which is more than 2 months with full cloudiness. This weekend the huge frost is expected even -18C (-0.4F):coldbanana:

First snow above 1200m, more than 100l/m2 down here in last 24hrs, possible frosts Tue/Wen. This morning was the first below 10C. Its surely comming :(
