Awesome project, dudes! This is the first I've ever even seen a variegated banana plant.
I see it's been a couple of weeks now. How are they doing?! Was that week in the mid 30's the coldest they experienced? You mentioned that you were spraying with fish emulsion and humus once a week. [Sorry, I just discovered this thread tonight, lol] I'm a total garden newbie. Where would a gardener find that or is it homemade? In any event, great job dudes! Good luck!

....took a quick pic yesterday.I will start to feed them some granular fert tomorrow afternoon.
The 4 plants to the left of the smallest ae ae are of strain number 3.There is a a big difference in growing pattern and color.I have NOT added any potassium N or any chemical to make them greener. and here is a pic of the p-stem of one of the plants with my german shepherd that guards them.lol Last edited by Greenie : 06-06-2010 at 01:49 AM. |

Went to Greenies house a couple days ago and took pictures of the project. You can see a difference of size and color, since the last pictures he posted. But even if it wasn't noticeable, they are just too beautiful not to post more pics!
And now they are starting to produce some pups!

Awesome, Greenie. Thanks for posting the update. What are the numbers of the granular fertilizer that you are using and which kind? Also, thanks for the info about the different strains. I didn't realize that. They look so happy and healthy. Congrats!
