I never ever water new plants unless the soil is dust. The corm has more than enough moisture and energy for it to thrive. When I figured that out I stopped murdering them.

Malanga and eddoes are not varieties. Malanga isn't even taro. Taro is Colocasia and is Asian and Malanga is Xanthosoma and is south American. Some taro varieties are dry soil and others need wet....

I started telling people to forget Veinte Cohol and just go for Patupi. Only thing annoys me but is a good thing for my neighbors is that they sucker non stop.
