Insomnia Thread...

Our home and garden show isn't until March. But I guess thats only a month away now!
Today is a nice day with temps over 32 and sunny. I can hear icicles melting and falling out the window.

Our Home & Garden show in April/May I believe is more about home than garden...and a big disappointment last time I went.


JaNan, Bob told me to tell you that he's waiting until warmer weather to send your plants and didn't want you to think he forgot.


Going out for a couple hours over to the mall, even though the weather is horrible...





I gotta pick up some candles and get a prescription filled, plus check out this one place that got in a bunch of seeds recently. Be back this afternoon...

Got a new succulent! Not sure what it is but it's kinda cool looking. Gonna post a shot in the succulent thread soon.


Hope you guys are having a good Saturday. I went to the mall to pick up a little light that clips onto your book when you're reading in bed at night. Got the candles but had to just drop off the prescription because there was a 2 hour wait to have it filled!!! I told them I'd pick it up tomorrow or Monday.


Got some of my favorite white "french vanilla" hybrid marigold seeds but not much interested me in the way of seeds. I like catalogue seeds better because there's more of a selection.

So I was gonna make some dinner soon but not sure what. Might just have some homemade stew from my freezer that I can pretty much heat and eat.

Remember I told you about that 24 hour grocery store/nursery near my place? Well I just got back from there not long ago and bought the coolest plant ever. I am in total love.


It's a plant I loved in childhood and I was so happy to see it...I just had to pick it up.


Dying to know what it is?


I'm gonna start a new thread and show a shot of it shorty, so be patient.


I'm very excited about getting it.

Hey Ja Nan! Yes, I missed that one at the Nursery. Actually all of the Trees had Fruit, ( except the Lemon), but I thought it best to pick them and place in their respective Pots which you can barely see in this shot.


I figured with the Transportation, plus "Transplant Shock", they didn't need the additional work of carrying Fruit.

Me to Tom, it's funny how quickly you can become attached to people.

No Jack, that is "Bamboo" that I divided from a Clump that I saw growing on the side of the Road and transplanted on my Northern Line, as a "Wind Break". The larger Culms are the "Mother Plants" and the smaller ones, new growth. I didn't get it in until late last year so it only had a couple Months to acclimate, before our first,( early Freeze) on the first of Dec.. Hopefully it will fill in this year and provide a Wind Break for my Citrus and one Raja Puri Banana that I have growing up in that area...........Hippie

I think the org was down for a couple days. Missed you guys! Glad it's ok again.


It's a cold overcast day here and they say we might be getting a storm! We'll see though because they're predicted it before and were wrong.


Gotta still get some breakfast but sipping green tea now and thought I'd post and say 'hi'. I was getting ready to post some shots of the pussy willows on my new little tree that I totally adore.

Yup. If you can't afford heating oil, don't buy it. Seriously though, there are times where you need stuff you can't afford. When bad luck hits it can deplete your savings really fast.

Oh I can't wait for the warm weather so I can sail down the streets of London again on my bike.
