![]() Thanks Janan! Dean is very friendly. He even gave me alot of different seeds too. So now I just have to wait for these to root. I dont know if I should put them outside or leave them indoors.

![]() Definitely wait until it's warmer and all danger of frost has passed before you put your gorgeous dragon fruit cuttings out, Cam. So nice of Dean to share with you.
![]() It'll soon be warm enough to mail plants! I do have some seeds I've been adding to an envelope for both you and JaNan...which you'll see very soon. Glad I waited though because I have many new seeds to add, which you'll see soon in a new thread I might start. I want to show the new seeds I got yesterday. I showed a few but not all of them... : ) |

![]() ![]() I don't know about your Dallas area Cameron, but I am sure we are past frost danger here in the central region. Dean had those in his greenhouse all winter, so they have had a good growing environment. I already have mine outside in the backyard though. They are tough boogers! ~J

![]() Thanks Sherry and Janan. Its going to be in the 60s as lows this week and in the 70s as highs. But I know here we can even have frosts and freezes in April. He gave me 2 types, American Beauty and Natural Mystic. I'm soaking some pink hibiscus, lavender datura and some palm seeds. One is a sugar palm and the other is a fishtail palm. I'm going to be busy this spring LOL. I still have your seeds Sherry and now I can probably add a few more since Dean gave me me plenty. He is really kind. Wow Janan you are lucky that the freeze threat has passed. I'm still afraid of planting my passion vines and bananas. I have them on the porch now

![]() I know when we lived in East Texas we would have a frost or freeze almost every year right before Easter. Sounds like your going to have a beautiful day Cameron!
We have been in the 80's for the last several days. All the outside plants are really loving it! In fact some of the inside plants have been moved outside so they can enjoy it too! Only Sherry can get a Thanksgiving cactus to bloom in March! ![]()

![]() A friend told me the safest time to plant is after Easter around here, though she planted some flowering plants in her garden lol. It has been in the 80s a couple of times this week but next week its going to be in the upper 70s. I just wish we had some rain. I saw a field of bluebonnets nearby too.

![]() I walked over the yard to check my bluebonnets the other day. They are coming up, but nothing blooming yet. I love their little star shaped leaves, so cute! They aren't near as thick as they were last year because of the dry fall and winter we have had. I wish we could get some rain too!

![]() There are 2 fields across the Collin County Community College that has several types of wildflowers, bluebonnets, Indian paintbrush, firewheel, and some other types. Its always beautiful. There are also albino bluebonnets that grow in that field. One of my college professors and some students discovered it. I was surprised that they came up so early. I saw several in Lowes. I love the leaves too, maybe next year I'll grow some. I've only seen a few large concentrations of them around here.

![]() Here are some of mine from last year Cameron. My entire front yard was covered in them. I am looking for that picture right now. The middle picture is a light blue and the last one is an albino. I also had the Indian paintbrushes, verbena, sleepydaisies and sunflowers!

![]() Thanks Sherry and Cameron - those are my very own from my yard!
![]() And Bob, not sure if you are still around reading threads, but you may have some Albino bluebonnet seeds in your batch. I marked the plants to be sure and save the seeds - then when the pods ripened I gathered everything up together! DUH! Anyway, the albinos are really rare! ~J

![]() I think the albino gene is sort of a defect. I read a really detailed article on it somewhere. It comes up every year in the same place, but once the flower goes away the pods look like all the others! It has spread a bit now which is exciting. The first year we lived in this house it was only one plant and last year it was three!
I just hope I stored them properly and they are viable for you. Sherry did your Bluebonnet seeds come from me also? If so, you have the same chances as Bob of getting an Albino. I believe it was three pods that I was able to get from them and there are probably 3 to 6 seeds per pod. ~J

![]() You have a lot of nerve insulting my banana plants like that, oh mister hasn't fertilized his Fig tree in 3 years!
![]() Keep in mind I haven't mailed your matching male prince holly shrub that goes with your female princess. You kind of need him if you ever want to see berries on your girl! ![]() Be nice, Robert. ![]() : ) |
