Re: Insomnia Thread...
Sure
I grow peppers during the spring and summer. Once it warms up again I will have even more peppers to talk about

Re: Insomnia Thread...
I'm baking some banana muffins right now.
Yeah, peppers are a cool thing to grow anytime of the year. I'm just reading my camera manual and waiting for the muffins to be done. Half of them have walnuts and the other half don't. : ) |

Re: Insomnia Thread...
I'll eat a little piece of it but I don't care for it lol. We always have plenty of left overs of turke. A co worker told my sister how to make turkey flautas with left over turkey. I miss eating muffins especially banana muffins and blueberry. I told my mom that I wanted to bake some bread for the holidays, since I want to use my bread machine. I baked white bread a couple of times in it, and it was the best tasting bread I had eaten lol

Re: Insomnia Thread...
Hi! Just dropping in quickly to say hey. Just got home a little while ago from taking hubby to get a free Veteran meal from Texas Roadhouse. Now I am vacuuming because I had a niggling feeling that something was up. And sure enough hubby has a surprise party scheduled for me tomorrow. After 17 YEARS of marriage he KNOWS I hate surprises! Very sweet and nice gesture, but I don't feel prepared and I feel like my house is a mess. UGH!
May be able to take a break and catch up later with the posts! ~J

Re: Insomnia Thread...
Hey Janan, that's nice of Texas Roadhouse to do that for veterans. You reminded me that I have to help my mom do a major cleaning of the house tomorrow, which I don't look forward to lol. That's nice for your husband to throw a surprise party for you.

Re: Insomnia Thread...
I know what you mean Janan When it comes to parties and larger stuff like that I don't like surprises either. I would rather have everything planned out right then.
I just ordered the aerogarden stuff I posted before, should get it at the 17th to the 24th apparently.

Re: Insomnia Thread...
Jordan you are one of the most patient people I have ever known! I would have been going crazy trying to get my AeroGarden started up. I know you have been anxious I'm sure, but wow patience, patience, patience!
Yes, Cam, and here I am typing on my computer instead of cleaning again. I had to take a break though. It's only about 68 degrees in the house right now, but I was wringing wet with sweat, getting overly stressed and fretting. And yes, that was very sweet of Greg. I love him so much for it. He was trying to do something that hasn't been done before - which is the "Surprise" Party!

Re: Insomnia Thread...
What day is your birthday, Janan? Hope you have fun at the party!
Good morning gang! So nice that Bob has joined us again in the aero-garden thread! I finally got him to get his system going again and join us. He's gonna grow all hot peppers this time around. Can't wait to see his stuff. So I yook the little pot of colorado blue spruce tree seeds out of my freezer. Can't wait for sprouts! Happy Saturday gang. It's sunny and gorgeous here today...and no snow!!! : ) |

Re: Insomnia Thread...
Snow is only good in December...after that it's useless!
So I sowed a Filius Blue in my A-G today. It's gonna be one cool pepper plant with purple/blue fruits that ripen red. : ) |

Re: Insomnia Thread...
We agree on something else again! Snow is only good in December for the holidays. After that its worthless.
Got all of my sacred water lotus dug up and cleaned up. Because I don't have a place where they wouldn't freeze, they are going in a tupperware container in my refrigerator I thought they would be more like a single root system them the leaves came from that. It was more like some weird vine underwater that spread for feet! I got arch linux installed on my ipaq, and it works! I didn't know it though and the Arch Linux OS has no graphics or desktop at first boot..... I had to install every single little thing I wanted! Oh well, it looks how I want it to now I installed XFCE for the desktop. Then clamav, chkrootkit, rkhunter for security. And then libreoffice and a couple text editors

Re: Insomnia Thread...
That's the tuber, on your lotus Jordan. Handle with care because it can be very brittle and if it snaps, the lotus will die!

Re: Insomnia Thread...
I was looking through old pictures tonight and I came across this utterly adorable one of Henry. Remember this one?
He was tired after a shower and decided to have a little nap while I was toweling off and brushing my teeth! I think it's my favorite shot of him because it's just so utterly precious and cute. Gosh I miss that bird. : ( |

Re: Insomnia Thread...
Very cute pictures, yes I remember it very well
The fact that you still remember him and miss him shows how good of an owner you were Just got a sago palm from the store its cute Will show some pictures later. I was very careful with the tubers of my lotus, don't worry Only one did end up in half and that was because it rotted a bit in the middle. Where I was in the ER Monday and didn't get a chance to get them inside they froze a bit and rotted in a couple places. Overall they look ok though

Re: Insomnia Thread...
I have a blogger blog also! We should follow each other! Mine is Exotic Michigan Heres my new sago palm: It was just so cute I had to get it And for only ten dollars it wasn't that badly priced either EDIT: Hmmm... for some reason I can't follow your blog, and quite a few of the things on mine aren't showing up correctly. Maybe they will tomorrow.

Re: Insomnia Thread...
If you read my thread I just made on the palm then you know what happened....
The store took such bad care of it that it had rotted, and was moving onto the inside of the plant. I cut it off and am going to try to root it with rooting hormone. This is exactly what happened to my last sago, the store I bought it from over watered it drastically. this one looks a bit better so maybe it will root and be ok.

Re: Insomnia Thread...
Sure hope it roots for you, Jordan. That would be cool.
Just loading some shots and thinking about sowing some seeds. I'm in the mood to germinate some plants. I was thinking of sowing another blue cornflower seed because I accidently killed the one in my aero-garden! It was gonna bloom soon too. I snapped the base of the plant while showering it. I knew I should have supported it more, but it was too late. Now I have to start over. Hope your party went well Janan. Are ya hungover?! : ) |
