Bananas turning to flower color!?
Hello - been here a long time, lurker never a poster. But noticed recently that my healthy banana plant flowered, and each hand that emerges is green. But then later turns to be purple or similar color to the flower. I apologize for the pics being a bit dark. But it’s been overcast here all week.
Any thoughts about if this is bad? This type of banana plant was given to me and the previous I bunch I got from this type I didn’t pay much attention to the fruit at this stage. Thanks for reading and replying |

Re: Bananas turning to flower color!?
I know it’s not a red, because I’ve eaten the bananas from the previous bunch from the original plant. The attached picture is from one of the suckers. I’m hoping this is not from adding too much fertilizer or something. Will post pictures in a couple weeks.

Re: Bananas turning to flower color!?
Doesn't seem like a problem. Eventually they'll ripen and you'll be able to eat them, regardless of the color. Enjoy the color changes.
