Bitten by the banana bug, hate video games, and like the outdoors
growing tropical plants, mountain biking, riding ATV's, playing with fire
Banana species and cultivars grown?:
As of 2021:
FHIA-2 (Mona Lisa)
Manzano (Our favorite)
Bringing the total number of varieties to over 20! Woohoo!
Varieties I no longer grow:
Our yard is too small, so we are choosing to focus on dessert bananas rather than plantains. Orinoco is a great all around banana but it didn't fit in our yard.
Super mushy fruit even when just turned yellow. Ridiculously mushy. Not good taste either. Tossed it.
My Wishlist/If I Had More Space:
Red African Rhino Horn
Green African Rhino Horn
Iholene Ula Ula
Common Harton Plantain
Dwarf Puerto Rican Plantain
Yangambi KM 5
FHIA-1 Goldfinger (The real one)
Btw if you want to give me any of the above varieties for free, you can! Wow! Just PM me!
