Unhappy What is wrong with my baby red abyssinian? Please help!

Hi guys! I'm very new to this so please forgive me for my ignorance/naivety/combo of the two...I've had this baby banana plant for nearly a year now and it was doing really well until about 2 or 3 weeks ago when it start developing discolouration around the edges of its leaves? It looks a bit burnt at the edges. I normally water it well every day if not every other day and it gets no direct sunlight but is by a big north facing window that sees a lot of the sky. But recently I don't know if watering it like normal is making it better or worse? New leaves are still growing very quickly and there's been no problem with that but it's looking a lot unhappier than it usually does!

I've had a read through some of the threads and I'm thinking it could be root rot but would be very grateful if someone could give me a few pointer on this please?

I don't know what to do and am worried it's now beyond hope?

(EDIT: Plant height is about 6ft, plant pot diameter is 13" and plant pot height is 10.5" )

P.s thanks very much in advance for any help! Really appreciate this community!

Too much water. .... Get a long stem moisture meter and water ONLY when the middle of the pot and bottom is near dry. Make sure the pot Drains excess water out of the pot.

Your picture doesn't indicate the plant height or the size of the pot.

The plant should be in a 12" or 14" pot at this age and be 2 ft to 4 ft tall for a container plant.

Hey thanks so much for replying - the plant height is currently about 6 ft tall?

Just checked and the plant pot diameter is 13" and height of plant pot is 10.5"

To make this better, do I just let it dry out slowly to make sure there's not too much water? And then go back to a better watering routine?

Thanks so much again - really appreciate it!!!!

6 ft tall .... move it to a 24" or 30" pot with drain holes. Take the time to inspect the corm for rot; any thing that is black and/or soft. The roots and corm should be white. If any black is found remove it and treat the corm with strong bleach water. Do not repot the corm any deeper than it is now with dry potting soil.

I'm not sure where you are located .... but now would be a good time to move the nana plant to the ground.
