New Goldfinger has 8 hands so far. In the evening it's covered with bees.

FHIA-17. I harvested the first crop off this mat about 6 weeks ago. This plant has been through hell as far as wind goes.

Some updates on what is going off in the yard.

First, an alleged Monkey Fingers that is probably 1000 Fingers, bought as a TC from Aloha Tropicals.

Next, another from Aloha Tropicals. An Ele Ele. I had doubts about this but I should know soon if it is least a Maoli type. This is less than 14 months small TC to 10'+ flowering plant with several pups. The largest was already removed. Not much black on it, but the younger they are, the less black. I'm encouraged that one of the pups coming up already has black on it despite being just a few inches long.

Massive growth very quickly

Smallest peeper in front on the left already has black.

My first Mysore, 7 hands, 2 weeks from emergence.

A'ea'e 4 months, still not ready, typical is 110-150 days. The slight yellowing on one banana has been that color for 3 months.

Another Aloha Tropicals TC, a Golden Pillow planted 1 year ago. Looks suspiciously like the "Monkey Fingers" that isn't that I also got from them.

Looking like my "Ele Ele" is not, and is presumably a tall Namwah. Looking good though and 10 hands so far!

Yep, though I've since acquired a real one, a keiki from one of the ones at the Greenwell Ethnobotanical Garden on the kona side of Hawaii. It's funny as a TC it had little bits of black on it so I thought it would be the real thing. If it had to be wrong, Namwah is pretty good and is actually my first fruiting namwah.

My first "Praying Hands" is blooming. Should know in a day or two if it really is.

Also my 2nd Tall Namwah to bloom, this one was bought as a Misi Luki.

My Gros Michel is blooming again, this year about 3' taller than last year so I'm hoping for a bigger bunch. Behind the bud in this pic below are tall Cuban Reds.

Well I am guessing that it will open enough to look like what it is with fused fingers or not. The Namwah from the stage of the praying hands now took only a couple more days to at least see that they looked like Namwahs with that pale green fruit and purple pedicles on the fruit. This is my first Praying Hands, so I don't have experience. Although it seemed like forever from the flag leaf to this point.

Well my Aloha Tropicals Praying Hands is the real thing. 15 months from planting a small TC. Of the 7 varieties from AT that I purchased and have identified, this praying hands is the only correct one. 1 out of 7 is not good!
