Default Dwarf NamWah

The red bleeding into the skin is similar to the once believed to be Ice Cream but later ID'd as Tall Namwah. Pretty...

Pinwheel Re: What's blooming in your garden? (bananas)

I finally got a blossom on my three year old Ice Cream, at least I hope that is what it is as that is what I paid for. Here are some pictures. I know it is probably too late to get any ripe fruits from it here along the northern Gulf Coast but at least I know I can get it to bloom. I put some extra fertilizer to it when the flower started showing 2 weeks ago, some epsom salt and 34-0-0, about two cups of each and watered it in good to see if I could hurry things along. Good idea or not?[IMG][/IMG]

I heard that adding nitrogen fertilizer during fruiting can cause the fruit to rot. So that's probably not a good idea.
