i dont know if he is dead, but one of my jack's giant is very slow to put out a new leaf. i think i put him in too big a pot. sux.
all the rest of the plants are growing well. another thing with the jacks giants: spider mites seem to love em. sux again! |

It was a slow death, but I gave up on my little Siam Ruby & Raja Puri. Bought them in Nov. when they were tiny TC's. I guess they couldn't take the few cool damp nights here last 7-8 weeks. Weather is crazy here...6 days ago we had highest temp (98f) since July 07 & today it's in 50's!!
I also lost all my EE's from the big Agristart order. Then, I bought 4 caladium bulbs & they will not come up ...prolly already dead when I got em. Boo hoo Oh yeah, last week - a raccoon.

No one wanted any SDCs, so I regretfully admit planting about 20 of them in the fields close to where I live. The plants will thrive there, until about november or December. God bless ther little souls, but I couldn't place them anywhere else. Well maybe I will go and dig them up in October, won't I.
If I don't forget about them... that is.

A Rex begonia cutting... Even after all the reading I did at IBS & Begonias R Us. Oh well, time to try the split-leaves method.

. Tried it...... Everything was bountiful & multiplied, everything but the plants (what plants?).BTW, watch out for racoons, too. They can take a huge Elephant Ear plant out in a single night .BYE Last edited by Eric : 10-17-2009 at 05:44 PM. |

Into the mulch pile went about 300 root-bound, heat-stressed annual herbs, and another 150 overstock perennial herbs.
