I have SPRING FEVER so Badly!!! Anyone else??? - Page 5

I hope it will warm up some time. It hasn't reached above freezing in almost a month. Both of my musa basjoos look like they've died from the rotting of the psuedo-stem and they might not come back so I'll probably need to get another one. They really don't do well and will not survive indoors.

Does anyone know if there's any chance that bananas can revive from the roots?

We actually had a pretty cold winter too... With so many cool storms, we couldn't (and still can't) warm up!!

December 2009 - only 6 days in 60s
Jan 2010 - only 7 days in the 60s

No 70s since November! Hopefully that will change Monday or Tuesday once these stupid clouds go away

It was 35F today but we still mardi gras-ed it up! Apparently St. Louis has the second largest mardi gras celebration...second only to New Orleans! It was a good time...lots of people and a large area of town blocked off.

My Spring Fever is out of control!!!!

The temperature today 2/14/10 at 2PM in my back yard!

I think we are just about over winter, I am hoping and wishing anyway.

It has been really wet and cool here. i am ready for spring so i can get my Carnivorous plants growing again and get some new bananas.

but i think i'm gonna be waiting.

aww I really want to get into carnivorous plants. The only way I see it working for me would be an aquarium... But those are for the reptiles..

Well it was a beautiful day in the 60's; 80F in the sun now that has me lookin' for more great weather..

Jananas that is a nice herd of Nanners you have there.. :^) If I had half that many in my corral I'd be Happy; ok estatic..lol :^)

Thanks guys! That's only about half of them Migael, not counting any of my seedlings! HA! HA! I do have quite a herd of them!

What kind are you looking for Alex? I do have some pups on some of them - though a lot of the pups didn't make it through the winter - I did have some tough ones that did. ~J

Well I'm working on my herd.. I found a baby Lil Prince poppin' up today. The weather is just fantastic I think it hit 70F today. So it's all GOOD! :^)

Its still winter here, but the past few days have been in the low to mid 40s which isnt too bad when its really sunny outside. This is also the time of the year when my indoor plants start to grow a little faster because the sun gets into the windows. My bananas are still stored away, but continue to grow. I cant wait to get them outside and only about 6 more weeks to go before many will be out for the summer.
Also rain is comming this week which is much better than snow, but after that day temps will be around 40 (many are 39), which is below average, but the days are longer and all the outdoor plants look like they are going to be blooming soon.

Good luck, I hope that spring will be here soon!
