LOL...it's 38 here right now and doesn't feel too shabby considering how it's been the past few weeks. It's kinda amusing that 40's in the fall is so cold, yet 40's in the spring feels so nice! I firmly feel that a harsh winter really makes you appreciate spring/summer that much more...and then you don't take warm weather for granted.
Ya have to have bad to appreciate the good, right?

I cannot wait, the next few weeks are going to be the worst. Some days will get up to 60 and then in the teens at night.

I feel yall's pain. Almost saw snow here along the Gulf Coast yesterday. I've used up my last bit of fire wood a couple of weeks ago, and now we have the heat pump going. I'm looking at a heavy frost on my car windows and my yard looks like one big haystack from all the dead naner leaves. Still, no signs of life yet, I think that frost does a number on the tropicals down here.
Just finished my 500 Ton capt. liscense testing 16 days ago and was told that I'd get my certificate in less that 2 weeks. The USCG has been closed for days due to snow in West Virginia. No telling when I'll get my liscense now. I gotta make one more trip on deck. I will be so glad to see some sunshine and warmer days. Thanks Bo |

I did see some snow flakes-- falling with the rain and melting on contact--at least 3 or 4! I think this winter has got to be one of the coldest in a while based on average temp. No all time records and not many daily records, but a lot of cold days. I am ready for some 70s, but I do not see any in sight on the 10 day forecast!
Hydroid, Congrats on getting your Captains license! |

Its amazing how when you first get warm temps for the season it feels so warm, but once it cools off it is cold. Like right now it is 62 degrees this evening and it feels cold.
