WOW, you are ready for any kind of "trench warfare"......

Very smart idea to paint them yellow so you'll not loose them in bushes !

Purchased, dug up and planted a Livistonia maria and two Phoenix reclinatas the weekend before last. It was cold rainey and miserable but they are planted and I can move on to other things like maybe unwrapping my nanas this weekend. We'll see if the weather looks nice for a while I might risk it.

Spring fever comes in bunches up here in Buffalo, NY. Below freezing one day and 50 the next. I bidded on some Musa veluntina seeds on eBay along with some seeds of a heliconia. I planted some Bomarea seeds and keeping fingers crossed that they germinate in 8 weeks. If not, into the fridge they go for 6 weeks and then out again for 8 weeks to see if that wakes them up. Haven't grown banana's from seed before or heliconia, but what the heck. Wating for spring and looking for work are damn hard right now.

I already have crocus that are blooming
Just days after the snow melted
Rest of the fall bulbs are pushing up growth too
Can't wait for the grass to turn green & the trees to leaf out

All of it is for me too. But they will sell a garbage bag full for $20. That's not too bad is it? I don't really know since I have never priced it or used it except for those bowls made of it for hanging baskets! ~J

I had to turn the AC on for the first time this year! It got over 80F. Cannas and palms are growing...just waiting for the banana corms to start growing! Lows are about 55, so bananas should start growing soon... I hope!
