Default Does Blue Java really tend to 'lean'?

I think I read somewhere on this forum that Blue Java tends to lean naturally.
I got this pup late last year and since it's come back it's been growing with a pretty strong lean. It's starting to straighten itself out a bit.
None of my other bananas have this lean.

If this 'lean' trait is true then I guess it should be pretty certain that this is in fact the real blue java.

I don't remember my first planting leaning so at such a young age... however, it needed propping once it had fruit. And all the pups since do "lean". They all pretty much grow at an angle and most end up needing some support help once they flower. My Saba also lean but thank goodness don't need support as those are HUGE.

Hope you are able to get some fruit to settle if its one or not... 9A can be so close sometimes.

Yes Blue Java really leans. When fruiting your going to want to provide additional support as well.
Happy growing,
Darla

Just so slightly more that many other varieties yes but not much and many others do also. The difference I see is that the height, Pstem diameter and bunch weight are not on the same page like those other leaning varieties, so when fruiting it can bust a stem fairly easily. Its the only variety I prop bunches on now matter how straight the stem is.
