Re: Blue Java late season
Looking good. That's the perfect size to get through winter and get a flower mid summer 2022.

Re: Blue Java late season
Hope so that would be awesome. I might get 6' of p-stem if this weather holds out. That's a warm sunny spot with great reflection off the windows. Love the coloring of the peeper too. Awesome plant.

Re: Blue Java late season
I just noticed on that picture the reflection beaming at the bottom of the fence. I get that all along the fence during the winter.

Since then it's been mid to upper 70s which means almost 90 in my back yard. We made banana bread today, best I ever had. The "fruit bites" was like cooked apples almost. Amazing. Not much of a shelf life though, seems was less than store bought. |

Re: Blue Java late season
Yeah we've seen 29 a couple of times but that's it. Just enough to screw me up. It did work in my favor a bit as Lou #2 is about 11' and didn't flower. I kept waiting for a flag leaf but it shut down just in the nick of time.

Re: Blue Java late season
Man that’s so far ahead of mine!
I transplanted to get more sun a few weeks ago and eneded up with another leaf choke situation! Lost two new leaves in the process |

Re: Blue Java late season
It'll roll though. Up here at least we've had great weather but many nights in the low 50s so a few of my plants looked a little ratchet for a bit. That line along my back fence gets great sun and serious reflections off my house. A true microclimate so I'm cheating haha

Crazy thing is I gave zero protection over winter and we had some bad nights (and days). It's definitely cold hardy in my book. |
