The Nikon D90 is my only DSLR so in that respect it is my favorite. I have a few 35mm SLR cameras but have never owned a Cannon film or digital.

Do you need advise on a camera purchase? I can point you to some great camera sites where you might find the answer, would that help?

It is indeed - a Sparkling Violetear, which are quite common in Quito. The thin air up here means that they spend a great deal of time resting, which is the best time to try and photograph them, since they're extremely fast little dudes.

That's a cool shot Beth. You could run it through neat image if you have it. It would really help your other shot taken at dusk too.

Yeah, that was taken with digital telephoto, and it adds a lot of grain to images that would otherwise be tack-sharp.

I so need a new camera and a load of new glass. Le sigh.

They do have two versions for OSX (pro and home). I don't have it yet but I will after we get our new mac mini. I have a friend who has shown me examples of what it's capable of doing and let me tell you it's pretty amazing! Can't wait to try it.
