Good morning, Y'all!
![]() I had nightmares about this guy... ![]() ![]() Quote:
Sorry about that Tbaleno but I ended up going to bed last night at a half decent hour...1 am!!! At least it wasn't 4 or 5. ![]() Yeah, I should have called the thread "BURNING THE MIDNIGHT OIL"!!! Neat that we can sign in and chat when we want to. Cool, that's your garden site. I'd say I'd join if I didn't already belong to 10 of them already! I might check it out some late night though and sign-on. It looked kind of cool!Anyway, hope you can sleep tonight... Ok Cory, just so long as you guys don't turn my thread into something nasty! Please be nice and let's not make this a thread where we insult each other's countries and ways of doing things.MAKE LOVE NOT WAR! ![]() Otherwise, for those who want to argue, start your own thread entitled "Political & Religious Aguer's & Debater's Thread"!!! ![]() All I'm saying is let's just try to be nice. We've seen and hopefully learned from the past, how nasty threads are no fun for anyone. Quote:
Oh yeah Cory, Penny & I will definitely show you lots of shots of snow...especially Penny! ![]() Um Penny... Did you miss my post? I asked you what are ya doing with your Basjoo for the winter? Curious... ![]() : ) Last edited by The Hollyberry Lady : 10-26-2010 at 09:26 AM. Reason: damn spelling!!! |

Don't worry about the brown leaves Penny, you can just cut those off. Just be sure to keep it showered indoors though because spider mites are very attracted to the leaves.
Great you brought it inside for the winter. You can put it in the ground next year. ![]() Bob just sent me Siam Ruby & Veinte Cohol banana plants and they're doing well in my living room window. So looking forward to growing the Siam Ruby. It's the only banana plant I've ever really wanted and now I've finally got one....again! ![]() Shhhh...we won't discuss what happened to my last one! ![]() Thanks for posting your snow shot in my new winter thread, Penny! Hope to see many more shots over the season. Anyone else interested can join too... Winter Picture Thread! I intend on showing many cool winter pics of London as well as internet images too. Hope everyone's having a great Tuesday... ![]() : ) |

Thanks Penny! I'll be watching for your winter photos!
![]() K. Here's my political/religious rant for today! Well, that's all I have to say about those 2 topics till next year! ![]() Hope you insomniacs are getting some sleep! Btw, I know all about "nasty threads". I belong to a lot of music sites. They had to shut down the forum in one since nobody but trolls had permission to post, LOL!

![]() Gotta clear you on that first. Why would we insult each other's countries? I've talked 2 hundreds of people from dozens of countries about their countries and nations recently, not one country was better than the other... they were, unfortunatelly more or less the same, just with different pros and cons. You can actually be free, if you won't look at people through countries and nations and start judging individuals for their contribution to the society. That's when you get a not so surprising enlightenment, that people are essentialy the same wherever you look. And that's when you stop talking about nations or countries and start evaluating each person, each individual according to the amount of humanity you can see in him manifesting... Eventually, you will find out, that insulting nations or countries is as illogical as it is pointless, untrue, ungeneral and waste of one's precious time. Now, about the religion... ![]()

![]() It all sounds good Jack, but some people's idea of "discussing" is just more arguing...and sometimes downright insulting! ![]() It's only my opinion but I just think it's best to avoid topics that will likely cause arguments...and get this thread deleted! We've seen it before many times, haven't we? Let's just not get too deep into controversial subjects... Can't you just post a sky shot, Jack?! Tell a joke or something? Does it always have to be these deep "discussions" from you? Lighten up, will ya? ![]() I do agree though Jack, and have found it to be true also, that people from all over the world are essentially the same. I also agree with your outlook that people should be evaluated individually and for his or her own personal contributions and deeds, either good or bad. Alright Jack, time for a joke... What's the difference between chopped beef and pea soup? Everyone can chop beef, but not everyone can pea soup! Ok yeah, that was totally LAME. Here's some better ones...One liners I think might be particularily useful here... "Do not argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience" "When you argue with an idiot, it only proves there are two" ![]() ![]() ![]() So who's around anyway? : ) |

Well, here's my 2 cents...
Drink plenty of water throughout the day, it helps with getting better sleep, don't drink any water/liquids 2-3 hours before you go to bed. Avoid alcohol as this dehydrates the body and reduces the amount of rem sleep you get. Herb/Vitamins that encourage sleep are L-Tryptophan - increases serotonin and melatonin levels for deep restful sleep. A good combo is 1000 mg of l-tryptophan and 100mg 5-HTP (another form of tryptophan) with a b-complex on an empty stomach before bed. Some people also benefit from a timed-release (under 3mg) of melatonin (makes me too groggy the next day no matter the dose). Chamomile tea, hops and valarian root teas are great at getting you to sleep quick, can also be used in combo with l-tryptophan. Some people also benefit from low dose 5mg 1-2 times a day of DHEA (only take morning and no later than 2-3 pm). Dhea is a master hormone and the body will make the appropriate downstream hormones from it that will ultimately result in better sleep. Care should be taken as this should only be taken by individuals over 40 and a dhea hormone test to determine he optimum dosage...Generally 1-5 mg is a safe dose without bloodwork. Some people suffer from sleep apnea usually from being overweight, work on losing the weight or get on a cpap machine. I don't have to go to class, and I usually end up eating a triangle of Toblerone whilst watching my favorite show at the end of the day.
![]() But now, I must ruin the day by drafting a paper... bleh. |

Buckle down and hit the books, boy!
Teasing, of course. Your banana plant is doing really well Zac, and growing since I brought it inside. The pup continues to grow also. What a cool plant that is. It turned out to be one of my favorites this year. It got super tall too. ![]() Did I tell you Bob sent me another Siam Ruby and a Veinte Cohol? Yup. I'm so excited about next year! : ) |
