Winter Picture Thread!
 People love to see pictures of snow & icicles and I thought this would make a good place to show your white worlds.  Our first snowfall of the season is approaching quickly and I intend to show it here as soon as it lands... Others should feel free to post their shots also. Internet images are also welcome. Sweet shots! Is that sunlight or snow on top of those palm trees!?
Penny, October 21st!? Wow! We were still doing 80's (F) and wondering if fall got cancelled! But we typically get some awesome ice storms and some snow so I'll def be posting! Prolly nothing till around mid December but we have had Christmas in the 70's before.I wanna move to Canada!

Great pics everyone!! The weather is still way too warm here for any winter shots and all the trees still have there leaves on (some are going a little bare now and some are still almost all green), but I do have some pics from LAST winter which was one of the most snowiest winters ever.
Spanish moss in snow  Yucca in snow  Pindo palm in snow   This is the reason why so many trees were down  Tree down  Snow like this is rare. Usually the worst snow storms of the year bring 6 inches the most, but these snow storms last winter brought 14-20 inches on 3 occasions!! I wonder if this winter will bring the same problems; anything can happen!!

Wow Sherry! That amount of snow really amazes me! Ive never seen anything like that by me before. Does that happen almost every winter, or is it just a once a decade type of snow? Great pic btw!

I must confess Alex, the pic is not my own...it's just one I found on the internet.
However, we do get snow each year at least once that's the equivalent to the amount in the picture...and Penny definitely does in her location of Ontario also. It's not fun Alex, and some mornings you just dont want to deal with it at all... Have you ever imagined having to spend a solid half an hour or more, scraping ice and snow off your car, just so you could get to work?! Or how about walking to the bus stop on a sidewalk with snow as high as your thighs or deeper?!  It's just ridiculous! How would ya like snow this deep?...  |

Boy, we've sure been lucky. They keep telling us it'll snow but it doesn't!
I bet one of these mornings real soon though, I'll be waking up to this...  I've got the camera ready to take a shot of our first snow covering of the season...which will likely be in about two days! : ) |

Here is my house and front yard from last winter. I hope we do not get this again for a long long time. Supposedly it only snows and sticks once every ten years here. We shall see!
