Only by staying in the house Cam! The heat broke one of my thermometers. I need to take a shot of it. It topped out at 110 yesterday and they thought it would be even higher today. My Texas sage are blooming again - supposedly they predict when it will rain - I hope they are soooo RIGHT! Oh, I meant to tell you, I LOVE your pink oleander! It is gorgeous. Save a seed pod or two for me when you can!

Jordan, sorry not trying to dig into personal stuff. Just remember we are all beautiful in our own way though! And you have very handsome hands!

Hiya Re: Insomnia Thread...

I'm a firm believer of what's on the inside is what counts the most. I agree with Janan...you gotta be proud and love yourself no matter what. Beauty is only skin deep and it's also in the eye of the beholder.

Oh and I gotta show you guys my indoor "June" Hosta plant tomorrow morning. I'll try to get a shot tonight even...if I can find some decent lighting. It's just gorgeous and it grew a lot while I was away.

Sorry for the delayed response everyone. I have been playing a computer game with my brother lol. This heat has been terrible and I hope it does cool down (Wishful Thinking lol) My oleander did produce a few seed pods last year before the maintenance man cut it down, but the seed pods were empty and I found out that its a sterile variety. I' am rooting some cuttings in water so I will save some for you. Jordan both Sherry and Janan are right. I need to listen to their advice too. Sherry I love hostas but its too hot to grow them here so I have to admire other's hostas lol. Some of my peppers and my Micro Tom tomatoes have flowers on them.

Good picture Sherry. If you didn't say anything I would never have guessed it was a fake tan.

Oh, and believe it or not, all the sunflowers made it through the storm still standing tall. one of them has to be over 9' tall.

I'll have to take some pictures to show you how they are doing. Also, the peppers in my basement are doing pretty well. I forgot to water them for a week or so and they all wilted. But amazingly once I watered them they started to grow new growth.

Edit: I went down in the basement. Turns out that the plants wanted water. Greedy little things I just watered them last week or so. Anyway, I harvested a carrot while I was down there. My dragon fruit cactus is growing well. I found out, patting a cactus is generally not a good idea.

Oh, I haven't seen fungus gnats down there in a while. I think maybe the fact I'm so neglectful of my plants made them pack up their bags to find more succulent plants.

Thumbs up Re: Insomnia Thread...

Thanks, Tom!

Yeah, they show pics at the salon of people with real tans and people with the versa spa spray tan and you honestly cannot tell the difference! It's too amazing. There are three levels of color...level one light, level two medium, and level three dark. Of course I went for the darkest they had and I use the bronzer on day 8-10 to enrich the color again.

People shouldn't suntan anymore anyway so this is a great substitute for harmful UV rays. Men and women use it and it's very natural looking. It takes 4-6 hours to set, after you leave the booth. As the hours wear on, you get darker and darker. It's too cool. You also have the option of getting the instant bronzer spray, along with your tan spray, so you see instant color when you come out of the booth. I like this option and you look like you just stepped off some beach when you leave.

There's an air purfication system in the booth and no weird odors. You're alone and the booth is wide open always...you just step in and out of it. It talks to you too and tells you when to turn around. The process is really fun and relaxing and the result is a wonderful even bronzed glowing tan in a few hours. No streaks or orange color.

No more sunburns for me!

I've also been using those crest whitening strips for your teeth. Has anyone tried them? OMG they're awesome. I just had light tea stains but my aunt had 20 years of cigarette and coffee stains...both our teeth are white as snow! Mine nearly glow in the dark now!

Anyone who wants to make thier teeth whiter should definitely try them. My dentist confimed that the product is enamel-safe.

We can replace UV rays with.... SPRAY PAINT!
(Joking, it's not spray paint )

Sounds like a good idea now there's no UV radiation hitting you when you get tanned.

Does everyone have microtoms now? They are awesome

Everything is terribly dry now. The heat is back and my peach tree doesn't like it... Looks like another year with no peaches. Last year my peach tree got some weird disease that looked like black spot on roses. But it didn't have it this year, but now it has some sort of spots on the peaches only... Maybe some year I will get peaches off of it.

tbaleno, I have found also that touching the needles on a cactus when they are being replanted is not a good idea either On golden barrels there are tiny needles around the roots and THEY HURT!

I am definatly going to try not to touch the horse crippler cactus I got from a trade in Plantswap.net. They are just sprouting. Also got some fish hook and thelocactus setispinus.

I am getting very excited about my bonsai stuff Can't wait!

My problem is fear, I can't get nerve to tell my parents about anything.... Which I need to start doing soon or else I am going to go nuts...

I almost bought two little African dwarf frogs last night, but I chickened out! Now I wanna go back and get them but I'm nervous I'll kill them! They're so tiny. GreenEarth is selling them for 30 bucks. I gotta research them a bit more before I decide. They are very cute.

So it's a sunny gorgeous day today. Might be going out in a bit.

If anyone laughs I'll kill them but this shot shows me with major bedhead and frizz to go with it. I just woke up and was chatting with my aunt in Nova Scotia. She recently told me about this amazing Versa Spa spray tan booth and how awesome it is. I went recently and she wanted to see my tan and aksed me to snap a quick shot...

No, I am not naked! I look dopey eyed though because I just practically got out of bed when my aunt was demanding a picture. Too funny, and no laughing allowed!

Wow looks good. Your hair looks nice too. You have more hair than me now. Mine is growing back but real slow. I had lots of hair. Its even coming back a diffrent color. Sherry your a knock out.

Too funny about the spray paint comment, Jordan!

There's a can of bronzer spray and that's what it reminds me of actually...spray paint!

So I gotta take off for a bit...lots to do today. I'll be back later though. Have a great Monday, gang.

Hiya Re: Insomnia Thread...

Omg I am too excited!

I wanted to rent a beach cottage for a week and today I went and looked at a gorgeous one that's practically right on top of the beach!!! I rented it for this coming Wednesday at noon, until the following Wednesday at noon...1 week!!!

This coming weekend is the last long weekend of summer and it's gonna be so nice to be at the beach! It's a totally gorgeous, fully furnished spacious 2 bedroom cottage house, that even has a fireplace! It's also got a deck, yard, and bar-b-que. The best part is you walk out the front door and take about 20 steps and you're on the beach! How cool is that?!

So tomorrow we're going out for lunch then spending the day packing and getting ready for our beach vacation on Wednesday. There's internet at the cottage so I can still keep in touch with you guys and take lots of pics too. Our cottage is called the "Honeysuckle". Oh I'm so excited!

Omg it's COTTAGE TIME!!!

We're all packed and got the laundry done last night so we'll be on our way soon. I'm very excited to be going until next Wednesday. Hope you guys have a great week but you'll likely hear from me at the beach too.

I got lots of new books for my stay including a bestseller suspence/thriller, plus I'm bringing some dvd's. Gotta stop on our way out of town to pick up some suntan lotion, which I forgot yesterday.

I plan on doing lots of swimming and volleyball playing. Don't worry, I'm a great swimmer and won't drown in the lake.

I shouldn't laugh actually, because so many have...intoxicated teens jumping off the pier mostly though.

Happy September tomorrow, gang!!! Chat again soon...

Hi gang!

Just got home a few minutes ago, but wanted to say hi!

I LOVE that new avatar Greg! I like the horsey one right before this one too! That black and white is just so stunning!

Anyway, Cam I have a message to you from Sherry. She is just bouncing off the wall excited with her beach cottage mini vacation and hasn't had time to answer any PM's. But wanted you to know that she hasn't mailed anything yet, but will and it will be either from her or AeroGrow directly. She asked me to let you know.

Jordan how is your first week of school turning out?

We have family in this weekend, so it will be busy at our house too, but I will check in here and there!

LATER!

~JaNan
