one of the things our town is known for is custom sportfishing yachts. I was checking out a boat and got lucky to see one of the largest boats to be built here being rolled over. This one in the pics is 87 ft. the hulls are built around a frame then rolled over to start the next building process. I have some video but havent figured that out yet[url=http://www.bananas.org/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=32691&ppuser=3890]

Cool pics.
Someone is going to enjoy owning that (or not, ha)... Best day of a boaters life: the day they get the boat. 2nd best day of a boaters life: the day they get rid of the boat. ![]() ![]()

Nice boat. Does it use spent uranium fuel rods for ballast?

This boat will have four motors and a new drive system. It has a hybrid thing going you can shut the motors down and stilll make good time with the electric drives.
A boat I worked on a few years ago burned so hot the aluminum turned into puddels, this was not my fault a boat in the slip beside it caught fire from a space heater and the fire drifted down the docks. If you guys get bored check out The Big rock Blue marlin tournament starts this weekend lots of nice boats there.this is my favorite tournament of the year heading out this morning for a week of blue marlin fishing.I will be on the 61`"Haphazard" if you want to follow. Have a great one. |

Thanks much for the photos and links! I've studied boat building, though I'm more into outrigger designs like catamarans and trimarans. It looks like a really sound hull that should really slice the waves and get good speed, though!
