I'm not sure up your way Benny, but down here pretty much any decent nusery/garden center will have them. The trick is to get a large one because once you smell the frgrance you'll wish it was a bigger tree! The air around the Hollwod area is thick with the fragrance on Summer nights. Not sure why so much has been planted in this one area but I sure do love it!

I love Adeniums! Beautiful. Anyone groeing one called "Black Fire #2"? How is it? Seems just stunning to me.

I Googled Adenium 'Black Fire#1', and this is all I could find.
![]() Most of these come from Thailand and some of the pictures have been through Photoshop to make them a bit better. ![]() This is a picture of my seedling from last year, when it was at its best. I Don't use Photoshop, but I do use Gimp and no color was changed in the picture. I use it for the background on my computer. |

Well, actually yesterday, Passion Flowers! One Flower open so far and lots more buds on the vines! Had to over-winter, here in zone-7, for one winter. Took 2 summers to bring them to bloom stage.
Also found a new Water Hyacinth bloom: And also found a ninth flower (this year so far) on one of my Colocasia Illustris: |

What did you do with your passion flower vine over the winter, Eric? I have a Caurulea I grew from seed and I don't think it's going to give any blooms this summer, so maybe next...

Passionfruit and Firebush (Hamalia patens), I'm not getting much fruit but looks like later this fall I'll have quite a lot of Passionfruit. The Firebush is full of fruit and still blooming. I have over four birds at a time eating the fruit and they don't even bother to fight over it anymore!!

, I grew them in a big pot the first summer then just brought them in and put them in the indoor garden. They lost some leaves over the winter but recovered when I put them in the ground in the spring. The plant was about 1 1/2 foot tall when I got it spring before last. Guess I'll dig it up this fall and bring it in again & just hope for the best.Hope ya post some pics of the Caurulea when it blooms !Never seen one of those before. |

Passiflora caurulea are very hardy - we grew them outdoors in England for many years with no special attention. Left them outside for the winter and cut them back in the spring when they started to sprout. It used to flower like mad and set lots of orange fruits - quite tasty to eat but not as good as the commercial tender kinds.

I am growing my vine more for the ornamental beauty than anything.
Thanks for the information Eric - I was hoping you'd say that! I am growing mine in a pot also, but was going to bring it indoors over the winter as well. Here is how it looks currently... ![]() |

Fantastic job, Hollyberry
!! Never expected to see Passion vines in Ontario, especially some that awesome!! BTW, I was told that Passion vines were only supposed to bloom in the spring. Not sure why mine are blooming this close to Autumn. Guess they just got a mind of their own! |

You may have been misinformed because I was told that they bloom in the summer and produce fruits into the Fall. Sounds to me like yours is right on schedule!

By the way...
Thank you, about my vine! I grew it from seed and it is over 7 or 8 months old now! I just keep weaving the vines back down the trellis and it has gotten really thick. I love the dark green leaves. Can't wait for flowers! : ) |
