There are many species of Passiflora from both tropical and subtropical environments. The bloom and fruit (or lack of) varies quite a bit. My Passiflora edulis cultivar "Frederick" blooms non-stop from late spring through Fall here in San Diego. This time of year it is also raining fruit -- over a gallon a day.
