Default How do I grow this!

Hi, I just bought an 8ft tall Dwarf Namwah that was cut down to have it shipped to me. I was hoping to have it cut a little higher to have some of the Pstem, but oh well. What's left of the bottom of the Pstem is 8" diameter so its pretty large. I've got some Banana plants growing from pups, but never attempted growing from a corm before. I looked on Youtube briefly but didn't find any super in depth videos how to plant one cut this short. I'm going to now peruse this forum for info and threads about this but figured I'd just post a quick thread too.

I'll be container growing it in a 25 gal pot, Is there anything special I need to do or do I just plant it the same way I would a pup repot? Not sure what to do with the exposed cut top if I should leave it exposed or cover it with mulch or whatever? I'm not sure what to expect growth wise, will the large main Pstem regrow into a large plant this season, or am I just going to be getting Pup growth off this corm? The Pstem was cut completely off all the way to about 1.5 inches above the rootball. How long should I expect it to take to have a fruiting plant off this? ( When the fall arrives with colder temps I'll be moving it into a heated greenhouse all winter with 80 highs and 55-60 lows). Thanks for an tips!

Apparently this forum no longer lets you attach pics to threads and it won't let me upload any pics to the Members gallery.

That sounds like it was a full grown plant. Likely will not regrow. Most likely scenario is the corm will send up several pups.

Your pics may be too large. They need to be 2MB or smaller.
