I have had good success(100%) by using bungee cords to hold p-stems with heavy bunches upright. Just connect 2-3 cords from around the loaded p-stem around some other big plants in the matt. They all even seem to stand up a little more strait. Caution--bungees can break uinder too much stress when connecting them.

The first fruits of the season started to ripen today. Manzano, one of my personal favorites, is turning yellow. The only problem is, I'm not home to see, taste, or take any pictures of it! Hopefully,I'll get there before they're gone. The SH3640 should be next in line, maybe I'll be there for them! I know it may sound weird but, it kind of feels like I missed my daughters first school play, ball game, etc... I hope to post some pictures soon.

Your plants are great! Gratulation!
Especially the dwarf Ladyfinger (Loggee) would be interesting for us here in Germany, because of such an enormous bunch in a container. Do you know, whether its need for warmth is similar to a Dwarf Cavendish or a Musa Rajapuri. Or does it prefer warmer climates?? Would be glad to get information about this outstanding plant. simona from Bavaria (Germany) |
