Hi, as the title says, I am thinking to start growing bananas in East Africa. The main downside is that it does not rain the ideal amount. Of course I have to find some good land but my main concern is the rain as it only rains a few mm per year (average).
I would like to know if this is feasible so I would really appreciate some advice or if someone could point me in the right direction. ![]() |

Fruiting bananas originated in Burma in an area where the annual rainfall averages 3 meters per year.

I think he's saying it's going to be a challenge.
Are you up for it? ![]()

Oh, it is feasible ... but not likely profitable unless you have a Free and steady source of water.
