Default newbanana treebee

Hi I am from New Jersey; I had a beautiful banana tree indoors and I tried to move it outside 2 days back. it turned out to be a very hot day and it burnt quite a few of the leaves; so I brought them back in. I saw that yesterday was nice and I took it out again; however, because of the wind and the flaky weather I lost about half the leaves.
does it make sense to leave the tree outside and take a chance or should I move them back in?
moving back and forth does not help either; as with every move I seem to damage it more.
Help please!!

At this point the damage is done and moving it will just damage it more, so leave out...but move it to a more protected/shady location for a few days/week (until it starts showing signs of putting out new growth).

Thank you.

it is expected to rain heavily tomorrow, so I am thinking what to do. Cant believe the weather has been so uncooperative.
if in the long run it makes sense for it to be outside I would rather take a chance and leave it outside.

thanks again.

Yes, give it some shade and get it use to the outside. Water, water, water and make sure you have good drainage.

Welcome aboard the Banana Express.

You have made the most common of mistakes that even pros fail to pick up on.

When we take our plants indoors, we place them in front of a sunny window. Makes sense, right?

Wrong!

Modern windows contain low E glass that filters out UV rays. All season long, our plants and trees get used to sunlight without any danaging UV rays. When we place them outside, we wonder why they turn brown and die. It's simple.

They got sunburned!

Keep your plants in a sunny environment that allows all of the cancer causing UV rays to bombard them, and you'll not experience any stress when you put them back into the real world.

It took me 20 years to figure this out, BTW. Egg on my face.
