First post: still learning how to use this resource.
I planted a single "ice cream" banana plant 2 years ago. Was growing well until it all died in Dec. 2017 due to cold weather. Rebounded well: clump now contains 40+ plants with 4 plants having healthy looking fruit. Question: I need to thin the plants - where do I start? Once the I harvest the fruit, should I then remove those plants, and what about all of the suckers (pups)? I need to keep the clump contained to a smaller size because it's crowding in on the avacado tree planted adjacent to it. Since I'm new here, I'd appreciate anyone pointing me to useful posts on this problem. Thank You |
