Substrate matters, roots need to breathe moreso than i thought. The soil I used before was labeled a well draining soil but even that may not have been enough. Overwatering hard to do when the substrate drains well enough. Also florida dont seem to like the cold very much. Need to do a better job in the winter. Probably ignore it a bit more then giving it water every month or so. Last winter it actually rained a decent amount so pretty sure overwatering is what caused me to lose it.
