Last year's seeds were very small. I don't think it gets enough time to fully ripen. In zone 7 I'm just happy to get a flower.

I'd be very careful using house insulation, if that stuff gets wet it wont dry out and that's about one of the easiest ways to kill a mat in our zone 7. I'm in Staten Island and wintered over...
