can you wrap tinfoil around the p-stem covering up all the dirt? Most cats don't like the feel of the foil and won't disturb it. There are exceptions of course.

Dry ice would freeze them solid, -110 degrees is a little cold for any animal. You can ship then with out any form of coolant.

Mogul base is screw in, HQI is double end push in. Are you sure it's metal halide and not Mercury vapor? Can you link the for sale add?
