john that looks kinda like the growth i'm seeing, they are like vertical nodules. so i will keep an eye on them.

I can tell you what they are used for, they are used in jewelery as they are nice round sized nuts that look quite nice when coated in a laquer, another use or so i was told when we visited Hawaii...
