Just wondering if anyone knows which variety is grown throughout the islands? They look like Gran Nain to me; I'm pretty sure they are a Cavendish but not the Williams one we grow in Australia....

Plot Twist - I stuck the plants with rotten corms in a bucket of water and the parts that aren't rotten are growing roots. Now if the corm had rotted due to cold or a virus, surely the water would...

What are the signs? I've noticed they go from growing vigorously to just completely stopping.
I think it must be one of the first two. I did't see any evidence of weevils..

I have Williams Cavendish which goes through winter here (33 degrees south) no trouble at all. Just stops growing during July. GM is a bit more intolerant
