Default Canary Island bananas

Hi
Just wondering if anyone knows which variety is grown throughout the islands? They look like Gran Nain to me; I'm pretty sure they are a Cavendish but not the Williams one we grow in Australia. There's lots of marketing info on them but I haven't found any specific scientific data on the variety(ies)..

Pro Musa says;
Dwarf Cavendish is the most popular cultivar, followed by Grande Naine and local Cavendish variants. I also found another site that mentioned Lady finger and Plantains.

canary islands, spain?,; zone 9 to 11. you can grow just about anything there you want to 9a to 11. in saying this, around you, there are one heck of a lot more varieties than the ones you named. hundreds? thousands?

why are you asking? your question is kind of broad. commercially or residential? for a start.

yes, dwarf cavendish would probably be one of the more types of bananas grown in those zones. very easy to propagate.

but what about the baby food market or like pr-giants and the variegated markets. both markets are high dollar.
so i would think that it's a lot more complicated to pin down than one or 2 varieties.
