Both of those collecter plants are amazing.

It will really be interesting to see what traits the seeds keep.
The hosta is a showpiece....looks like it's doing well.

The Amorph....wow.

Re: Cool winter storage of banana plants?

Re: Cool winter storage of banana plants?

If you have room leave them in the pots. Don't water much if any, they will be dormant and not need any water. If the pups are on the mother I would leave them there .

Re: Cool winter storage of banana plants?

Dig them up, with a small rootball. Chop off the leaves and set them standing up where you will keep them at 50 over winter and they will go dormant over winter. Note that keep them standing up since...

Re: Double Mahoi inflo bud started--usual newbie Q's!

That is very good that it is still pushing out new leaves. If it is choked that means it is "stuck" inside the pstem. It happened on dwarfs and super dwarfs to me a couple times. A friend in OH has...

Re: Double Mahoi inflo bud started--usual newbie Q's!

I have no experience with Mahoi and I've only had a few plants fruit, but based on the picture with your hand in it I would think that it would need to be much bigger for it to be about to fruit....

My SDC have never produced bananas. You should try Raja Puri. They are short would do good in a green house. The bananas are good too. Once they get established they produce every year.

Re: Tall Orinoco waking up after bareroot
