Banana Seed Germination
Hello Banana lovers,
I had a thought come to mind today while working out in the Backyard. And since I am at this time germinating banana seeds. My idea came to me getting something in garage. I know during the summer mine is nice and warm. This may be a good option for people like me who don't have 120 degrees in summers. Those of you who wish not the expense of purchasing heat mats. also banana germinating does not require light. Is placing your seeds that have been planted in seed starting mix is to place the seeds in flats in the garage during day. You have 8-10 hours of good heat in the garage and if you follow a schedule of heat on 8-12 and cooler the next 16 to 12 hours great option to try. 🌴🌻 |

Re: Banana Seed Germination
Hi Brian--that makes sense. I was given seeds of m.velutina last fall, and as a newbie, I thought a few months after planting that they were duds. They were in a semi-sealed container which ended up on my kitchen counter not too far from the stove, where they got a decent temperature fluctuation. I checked them a few weeks ago, and had close to 100% germination, so the temperature fluctuation may have been an important factor.
